Important in 2009: What is Mobroder?

Happy Early Birthday to Blu Jemz! Check him at RCRDLBL. His party is tomorrow @ 87 Ludlow where the legendary MOBRODER will premiere. (Unfortunately, I will be in the South living cheaply, forgetting how to read, and being the only person that knows what twitter is). Highly recommended.
Those that listen to Mark Ronson's EVR show Authentic Shit every friday night or Jemz' show on Scion Radio have heard of the majestic mystery that is... MOBRODER.

So who/what exactly is Mobroder?

Mobroder is a Disco super-group featuring MC Spank Rock, producer/MC Blu Jemz , and DJ Hoff.

Jemz states, "Hoff and I have been working on a Mix CD with Spank Rock called Mobroder which is basically like the trials and tribulations of the Black Moroder, I think it’s gonna be epic, so of course it’s taking forever."

Of the first performance of this supergroup, he states, "I'm even going to be up there playing bass or some shit".

Sounds epic.

Meanwhile, my ass is down here trying to get music shit done with broken head-phones and none of the conveniences of my set-up in W Village. The EP that I promised to be done by 1/1 has been thrown to "sometime in the future" and is being replaced by a Mini-mini-mini Mix that has none of my 80s new-wavish-disco shit on it... it sounded too much like a mix and not an album. That soon. Perhaps today. I miss New York.
