This site is becoming inactive and will be put to death VERY soon. It's been fun, explicit, and hopefully entertaining/informative/whatever.

HOWEVER...

I HAVE A NEW BLOG. It's in it's final stages of development. Not going to give out any more details except that it has something to do with Texas, and that I'm only a small part of it. Keep in mind- I don't live in Texas, and I'm certainly not moving to Texas. And it has nothing to do with SXSW.

SO, ponder that.

All I will say is that my new blog ("column" to be exact) will be part of something HUGE. In some ways along the lines of other lifestyle blogs ( like Hypebeast, Highsnobiety, Fader, etc), but in most ways, completely different from all previously mentioned. I will also say, that in some ways the blog exists now and gets a good (be modest, Skye) amount of hits.

It's an honor to be a part of this (which has yet to be named) and I encourage everyone that kept up with me here to do so more intensively there.

In parting, I give you ONE sneak peak of what the new blog is shaping up to be.

Michna & Raw Paw killed at the Studio Friday. System D-128 is a genius. Not only was the music ill, but the visuals were insane. This is the dude that does all the video work for Mad Decent/Hollertronix, most notably the Rye Rye "Shake it to the Ground" video. Best audio/visual experience. Here are the other dates:

Manhattan Syndrome!!!

SHIT! This Saturday is Valentine's Day?
1.) No valentine yet (update: found one!)
2.) If I acquire one, I have no money (sugar mama, possibly?)
3.) I hate holidays, largely because everyday is a holiday for me (see, no grinch!)
4.) Most the girls I know have Manhattan Syndrome (defined below), and I've had too much of that.

Manhattan Syndrome- An unprecedented surge of over-confidence found in young girls (& guys !) that live, work, or study in Manhattan (NYU students especially). They play hard to get. They wait till you call them. They insist on taking cabs. It's likely that they are shallow, have mediocre wardrobes, and don't really listen to good music. (This can all be cancelled out if they DO like old nickelodeon cartoons, Adult Swim, or have heard of Second Cousins (yeah, right)).

Note- Not in anyway do all NYU girls have Manhattan Syndrome (just an overwhelming majority).



SO, the Grammys sucked. -1 for old white people. +100 for twitter making me laugh.

And, I have a new favorite Lifestyle blog. The dudes at CENTRE made a post about it a month or so ago and I bookmarked it and checked it recently... SO GOOD! And its RUSSIAN! They post about shit before highsnobiety/selectism/hypebeast and they also post about random cool shit like THE YO-YO CHAMPIONSHIP (Aaron and Co, thats you!)

Ok, so starting early this winter I promised an EP...I had about 50 new tracks held over from the summer. Well winter came and work continued... new songs being added and old ones being tossed... Anyway, the style of the album became pretty polar as far as genre and what I ended up with by mid-december was an EP that sounded more like a mixtape (which I wasn't happy with) due to the presence of two very distinct styles of music...
